Day 01: Guwahati to Kaziranga​

(Approx. 205 kms, 4 hrs)​
Arrive in Guwahati early in the morning and transfer to Kaziranga National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel or lodge. Kaziranga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, spans 430 sq km and is divided into Eastern, Western, and Central ranges. The park is famed worldwide for its population of one-horned rhinoceroses, but it is also home to Royal Bengal tigers, wild water buffaloes, swamp deer, and Asiatic elephants. Relax in the evening and soak in the wilderness.Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Start your day with an early morning elephant safari to explore the grasslands and spot wildlife up close. Later, after breakfast, embark on a thrilling Jeep safari through the park’s rugged terrain, keeping an eye out for rhinos, elephants, and a variety of bird species. Visit the nearby Orchid Park to see Assam’s rich flora. Return to your hotel for an evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

(Approx. 140 kms, 3 hrs 45 mins)​ After breakfast, check out and drive to Nimati Ghat. Board a ferry to cross the mighty Brahmaputra River and arrive at Majuli, the world’s largest inhabited river island. Known as the cradle of Assamese culture, Majuli is a hub of Vaishnavite traditions established by Saint Srimanta Sankardeva in the 15th century. After check-in at your lodge, visit a local Xatra (monastery) to witness traditional evening prayers. Overnight stay at Majuli.

Enjoy a traditional Assamese breakfast, then visit Kamalabari and Auniati Xatras to explore
ancient scriptures, artifacts, and vibrant cultural practices. Head to Samaguri Xatra to witness the unique art of mask-making with bamboo and clay. In the evening, you may spot migratory birds around the island’s waterbeds. Overnight stay at Majuli.

(Approx. 85 kms, 3 hrs 25 mins)​
After breakfast, take the ferry back to Nimati Ghat and drive to Sibsagar. En route, visit the Sukapha Museum in Jorhat to learn about Assam’s Ahom dynasty. Explore the historic Negheriting Shiva Temple and the ancient stone-built Namdang Bridge. Upon arrival in Sibsagar, visit the iconic Rang Ghar, Talatal Ghar, and Shiva Doul, which stand as a testament to the architectural prowess of the Ahom kings who ruled Assam for over 600 years. Overnight stay at Sibsagar.

(Approx. 75 kms, 1 hr 55 mins)​
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Dibrugarh, the “Tea City of India.” On arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a guided walk through a lush tea estate to learn about Assam tea production. Experience a vibrant performance of Assamese folk dances to conclude your day. Overnight stay at Dibrugarh.
